Your Stair Lift and It's Power Source

The Electric Powered Stair Lift is energized by your normal household current.  That means that after installation you just plug it into the nearest electrical outlet.  That's right; no expensive special wiring is needed.  Just plug-in and go.

"AC" stands for "alternating current."  That's the type of electricity that is found in your home. 

The AC powered lift is engergized and ready for heavy duty work.  It can easily handle riders who weigh as much as 300 pounds. 

Of course it's not for heavy weights only.  It is convenient and practical even for child sized riders.

The foot rest and the back of the seat are adjustable, so everyone can ride in comfort.

Electric Stair Lift Features

Here is a very important feature of the Ameriglide electric powered stair lift... the seat rotates at the top and bottom landings.  That means you don't have to be a contortionist to get into and out of the seat. 

This nifty stair lift can be installed on either side of your staircase.  And there's plenty of room for others to use the stairs when your stair lift is not needed. 

 It folds into just a 14-inch space leaving most of the stair way safe and open.

One of the most important accessories you will consider will be the optional battery pack.  It allows your stair lift uninterrupted operation in the event of a power outage.

Does the equipment operate safely?  You bet!  There are safety sensors under footrest for unexpected obstructions. If the lift should encounter an unexpected object on a stair the safety sensors gently halts movement.  No one is harmed and nothing is damaged.

You may be wondering about the safety of the person riding the lift.  We are way ahead of you there.  Every seat is equipped with a safety belt with a locking mechanism.  Even seriously disabled patients ride in comfort and safety.

One of the features of this Ameriglide stair lift is the swivel seat that makes it easy to get into and out of the chair.  But wait!  What if the swivel seat is not in the proper alignment for travel?  Here again safety comes first.  The swivel seat is equipped with a safety switch that prevents the lift from moving if the seat is not in the property position for travel.

Easy Operating Stair Lift

Anyone can safely operate this stair lift.  There is an easy to use control button, which can be mounted on the right or left side of the seat.  You may choose a wall mounted or foot mounted call station.

The seat has a curved backrest for comfort with a adjustable footrest height.  The padded seat and the footrest both fold up so there will be plenty of room for others to use the stairs.

The lift rides on hi tech nylon wheels for smooth and quiet travel.

The design of this lift is so versatile that, if required, you could switch the transport rail from either side of the stairs to the either side.  You can doe this at any time with no special tools or additional parts.  That means it will be easy to take the lift with you if you move to another home.
