These units are also easier to sell as reconditioned stair lifts.  Additionally, straight stair lifts are generally cheaper than any other type of stair lifts because they do not call for any special custom design as is the case with curved stair lifts.

One thing to know about a straight stair lift is that it is only considered straight if it is one unbroken stretch of rail. If your stair way is straight, then breaks at a landing and then become straight again, it can not accommodate one straight stair lift from top to bottom.
